Hi, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this! I pondered for quite a while how to provide screenshots or a video without including any extraneous information.
I have just figured out what has been happening - the problem was that I had checked the "Include subaccounts" in the initial Reconcile Information window. That's apparently remembered per-account, which is why I was always having the problem with one particular account. It wasn't obvious from the visible effect that it had anything to do with subaccounts (especially since the account didn't have any), and it seems odd that the option is even available when there are no subaccounts.
