Wait..if you clicked to N and saved, and the Ys are back, that implies either the save failed, or you did not open the same file you saved.

What PS platform are you on?

Thanks Derek, I'll give that a try. I opened each transaction back to June 24 and changed Y to N (in my checking account). I saved, closed, and reopened Gnu and all the Ys are back. Trying again.

Hi,
Can you go re-reconcile June/July?
Does the starting balance work out there?
Note that, in general, the starting balance is less important than the
ending balance. The reason is that reconciliation is not "by month".
Rather, it's "from the beginning of time to the reconcile date". So if
you unreconciled an earlier transaction by accident, just re-reconcile it
(even though it's not in this month's list, it should have been reconciled
in the past).

Hope this helps,

I hate to admit that I'm having trouble with Gnucash. The program is good
and I've been using it for several years now.

It should be almost impossible to reconcile a statement if the opening and
closing figures don't match, but I have somehow managed it. However, this
time my problems go back to August! I've "unreconciled" since the last
true
balance at the end of July but cannot pull up that last balance to jump
into August.

I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give me.

Thanks! po
