Keith, I'm not sure why you resurrected this thread from February, but you did.
If you look at that thread, you will see that OP clearly identified their OS, the versions of GnuCash on which tested, and the exact problem observed. The advice to read the FAQ on saving custom check printing options is decidedly not relevant. Brad even admitted that he had no clue about what the problem was.
