For what it's worth, I would love to see a global filtering option, possibly in the preferences under Register Defaults. Then I could set the global filter to hide, say, everything older than 2024, and it would be done. That leaves me with the option to remove the filter on an individual account when I need to look at something older, or of course I could just run a transaction report.
