Windows?
Is this *after* downloading and trying to install, or will it not even
download? If it won't even download, what site are you downloading from?
If after the download, and you are getting the message trying to
install, even after approving the install or entering an Admin password:
Win10 (and likely 11) can 'lock' an .exe file from running to install an
app if it has a false detection, or even for some random downloaded
files. (I have this issue with Betterbird e-mail client every time, but
only on one machine)
The solution is to right-click the downloaded file, choose 'Properties'
and then check the 'unblock' box near the bottom and close the
Properties dialog.
Then you can double-click the gnucash.exe installer and it should work.
(you may still get asked to approve the install and/or have to enter an
admin password, but it will work this time.)
