I too built a 5.14 Linux executable on Ubuntu 24.04 and have not (yet) encountered any problems.

FWIW I used the 22.10 instructions at https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Building_On_Ubuntu and they worked flawlessly on 24.04.

Ed,
I've built 5.14 from the tarball on Linux Mint 22.2 with no problems.
Had to reinstall a few dependencies mainly libboost but that was
because I had recently updated to LM22.2 from the iso instead of the
online upgrade and the dependencies weren't all included in the update.
Runs with no problems I have detected so far but haven't done much with
it yet.
Congratulations to JOhn and the team and thanks for all the work!

Merry Christmas! Happy Chanukah! Happy Holidays to one and all.

Is there any feedback on the various Linux presentations of 5.14?
Flatpak,
which is what I use, or any of the packages or tar balls?

I've seen some discussion about issues installing on Windows, but was
hoping people would weigh in on how well they upgrade works for us
Linux
people.
