You probably haven't setup your currency symbol correctly have a look at

it might give you some hints.

2nd mistake you made was not attaching your screenshot as a separate file
as the Gnucash mailing list strips out embedded images in your posts.

Also check your locale settings in Gnucash preferences - have you got your
currency set correctly ?
