Geoff, I'm willing to bet Rudolph is on Windows 11.
There have been a slew of reports from Windows 11 users with Norton getting false positives when trying to install GC 5.14. The instructions that I've heard suggest that one needs to dig into the error screens and force the installation to proceed despite the risk. Or else one should disable virus scanning while GC is installed. A search of this list archives over the last 5 months should provide additional guidance. David T.
