Can anybody tell me what is the use of / symbol in GnuCash?

Well, one can use pretty much whatever text you like when entering the Description, Notes, or Memos strings part of transactions. That includes the slash character '/'.

One can enter a '/' in a numeric field, where it is interpreted as a division operator. If I have a $24.30 quantity which I want to divide into thirds, I can enter '24.30/3' into a numeric field, and GnuCash will compute '8.10' and put that into the field.

Is it used in case of Liability / Assets accounts or in case of Income /
Expenses accounts?
I am now aware of the GnuCash app presenting the name "Liability / Assets accounts" or "Income / Expenses accounts", in the English translation at least. Do you see the app presenting strings with a slash in them? Please explain where.
In both cases how it differs from : used to create a sub account?

One can set the character which GnuCash uses to separate account names. By default it is colon ':'. In Settings… Accounts… Separator Character, one can change that separator to almost any character, including a slash.

One can use a pretty free choice of characters in account names, but it looks to me like GnuCash forbids using the Account Separator Character. When I try to create a new account, GnuCash will not accept me typing a colon in the account name.

However if it is not used in both cases; is there any other use of this
symbol / ?

So, yes, many uses.  But I suspect I am not answering your question. Could you please try to express it in a different way?
