Not sure if I'm following proper procedure but I'm looking for assistance with getting set up in *GnuCash (Flatpak)* to connect on-line and retrieve investment data.

I have come across some documentation that specifies the *Perl Module Finance::Quote* must be installed and how to check for it. I also read where I needed to have *Perl* installed and how to check for that.

With *$ perl -v*, I receive *perl 5, version 34, subversion 0 (v5.34.0) built for x86_64-Linux-gnu-thread-multi (with 70 registered patches, see perl -V for more detail)*. So, I assume that part checks out!

But, then I'm told to install *Finance::Quote* if I don't receive documentation with *$ perldoc* *Finance::Quote* for which I don't. What I do receive is a suggestion to *You need to install the perl-doc package to use this program.* In the instructions, I'm told that if I do not receive documentation, I need to update *|Finance::Quote|* with *|$ sudo gnc-fq-update |*|for which I receive *$ sudo: gnc-fq-update: command not found.

*I'm then instructed to type *$ which gnc-fq-update *presumably to get the path to use in the next command which gives me no response. I went to my "file manager" and did a search for gnc-fq-update and found one instance, other than through my timeshift backups, located in the path, */var/lib/flatpak/app/org.gnucash.GnuCash/current/ef3f97227486c297ce4e89b21e22122342a544ee1660d43df7625727790b7edf/files/bin/gnc-fq-update

*I tried to use that path *$ sudo /var/lib/flatpak/app/org.gnucash.GnuCash/current/ef3f97227486c297ce4e89b21e22122342a544ee1660d43df7625727790b7edf/files/bin/gnc-fq-update *only to receive, *No such file or directory

*I then used the same path but with a tilde (~) at the beginning and received, *command not found

*Am I missing something? Should I install the perl-doc package as suggested? Thanks for patience and understanding!!!
