1. Not in GnuCash itself, although someone may have scripted their own solutions. 2. Ditto. 3. Not sure what you mean by this; when you set up a commodity, you can choose to have it retrieve online quotes, at which point it will begin to populate from those sources. If you're looking for a retrospective population, GnuCash doesn't do that, although others have built tools to do that. 4. Also not sure what you're thinking. If the files are csv, you probably could figure out a way to import them.
Personally, I've found that working with GnuCash's tool set, primitive though it might be, is not so onerous that the effort to automate becomes worth it. Autocomplete (even the latest annoying version of autcomplete that refuses to prefer initial character strings), after a while, is pretty effective at speeding things along. But, then again, in not trying to process hundreds of trades a day (or even a month). David T.
