Hi all,
I use the Name field of my scheduled transactions to help identify the
payer account for each of those transactions. And it would be helpful
quite often to just view the upcoming transactions for a *single*
payer account (e.g., checking) so I could see when withdrawals are
scheduled to happen from that one account. As an example, I might
name the scheduled transaction for my power company as "[chk] ConEd",
where the funds that are scheduled to be paid to "ConEd" would be
coming from my checking account "[chk]".
What I was hoping to do was to be able to *filter* my rather long list
of scheduled transactions by the Name field; so that I could easily
see the upcoming transactions for just that one account (e.g.,
"[chk]"). So, my question is: Is there any way to filter the
Scheduled Transactions list in that manner -- i.e., by a text string
within the Name field?
Just as an FYI, I know that I can *sort* the list by the Name field;
but that doesn't really help with this. The problem with sorting like
that is that the list won't be ordered by the Next Occur date, which
is the more important thing.
Any ideas?
There is no way to do what you want without scripting that I can think
of and the Next Occurrence date has to be calculated, i.e. it isn't
stored in a table.
My approach (which you may have considered before) is to create
scheduled transactions 60 days in advance and update the exact amount &
date as they happen.
