A couple months ago I had a discussion with a user who posted an issue to Finance::Quote, https://github.com/finance-quote/finance-quote/issues/575
The user assumed that F::Q was more of an integral plug-in to GNC that access to all of the fields within the GNC security editor screen. I needed to explain more than once that F::Q is a separate utility that is executed by GNC, and that GNC only sends the contents of the "Symbol/abbreviation" field as the security identifier.
