The gnukeyring project went through some of this... they now call their software Keyring

However if (as I believe it is) ours is an official GNU project (yes??) it should be GNU something and therefore GNUmed best distinguishes the "GNU" and "med" portions. The only other way to do this would be to further separate the "parts" GNU-Med which would be more tedious to type ;-)
