Have you tried the current sitecustomize ? You need to set a
flag and activate the proper encoding. This should not hurt in
any case. If you set the flag to True it should behave exactly
like your file. BTW, have you tried your file in the same path
as the file in CVS ? Did that work ? It may for some strange
reason depend on the location of the file ?!? ...
