People may be aware some time ago that I mentioned an open source
project EGADSS whose aim was "a tool... designed to work in
conjunction with primary care Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
systems... to provide patient specific point of care reminders...
Centralizing guideline management under one tool to permit easier
maintenance of the content." http://egdass.org/
The project reached the end of its funding cycle and was not renewed,
however (short of real-world testing) I understand they pretty much
completed their goal.
Perhaps it is worth not letting it be completely forgotten, in case
it informs how GNUmed and other EMRs could in future usefully retool
their "export"-like functions.
A web-based EGDASS test client now has a permanent home at http://
nsmobile.org:10800/EgadssWebModule/PatientSelection.jsp) with 3
default patient profiles (XYZ) from which to select. You can also
modify the CDA document of each profile for even more flexibility
for getting patient specific recommendations. [ I noticed the
network connection to the host was slow today so please be patient,
it's not egdass that is taking a long time ...]
