How does this work? That sounds interesting.

I tried to work with OOo and the scanned formular as background. It works.
For seldom formulares it seems to be OK. For often filled formulars I would
like to have a quicker and simpler way.

In my program ("waldimed") the solution is:
Generate a Printfile via INFORMIX(Report) out from Text-Variables (Text) and
programmvariables (patient-Datas) and prefabricated Textelements and print
this file together with the Background-picture through the mentioned
Perl-skript. I suppose, this should work in gnuMed also. The Perl-Skript or
similar code could be used or may be a similar python-Solution.
When filling the needed text-variables GnuMed can use its phrase-weel.

In my "waldimed" the postion of printing the Text-Variables and patient-Datasi
maintenance is coded fix (row/column). This is the simpler way to programm,
but has to be done for every Formular and every country and every Change of
the formular and is maintenance intensiv.
The question is, if it would be possible to make a GUI with the scanned
background and the user puts his Cursor on the beginning of the
Formular-Field, which tells Gnumed the position, where the needed variable
will be printed. In this way every Country could make its own Formulars very
simple. The data for that can be copied to all users of that Country. This
would be the elegnat way.

waldiMed :-)
