You can't.
AKA relational integrity, yes? :-)
Instead of deleting a type, it would make more sense to either rename
it if that would give a more meaningful name, (I imagine that could
easily enough be done) and if it is later useful to do, to implement
a widget that could merge (subsume) one type into another.
