Hi, i have put together a quick and dirty binary installer of gnumeric-gtk using the autopackage framework[1]. The nice thing about autopackages is that they should work out of the box on virtually all x86 linux distributions (if the library dependencies are satisfied). It's bare bones, --without-gnome and barring any extras.

Because it's the first iteration it's likely to break for some people, if you complain to me i might look into the issues. (Patch is available too, will submit later).
