I built and installed 1.9.4 successfully on my old x86 Fedora 7 laptop, and Gnumeric looks and operates well there with an existing gnumeric spreadsheet.
I also built it and apparently installed it successfully on my Linux Centos 5.2 x86_64 box. However, when I open the same spreadsheet, I cannot see anything because I see little squares where the glyphs should be. My locale is specified as en_US or C, and I have no font problems with other programs. I'm sure I'm missing something but I've passed all the configure tests with no obvious missing requirements. I've installed the most recent versions of most of the prereqs. Any suggestions?
