Thanks for this pearl of wisdom. I guess this is the "correct" way to
achieve the right result. Just need to be certain that the destination
cells are empty otherwise confusion reigns.

This also provided a useful pointer to the use of paste special. I
hadn't explored or used it much up to now, but I now see that there is
a lot of power in the paste special with the exercise of a little
thought and planning.
