Ok, I did that now: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=723903 It would be nice if the development team could lend its support to this if needed. You might not worry much about the packaging of your software, but having these packages available for Debian and its popular derivatives is really important.
