i'm sure, after all i've tried all posibilities. i've new comments:

if i have no_downsample_clients *uncomented* (with values: none or an valid
ip) the streaming doesn't work at all.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ vlc recurse.m3u
VLC media player 0.8.4 Janus
[00000291] access_http access: Raw-audio server found, mp3 demuxer selected
[00000293] main private error: cannot pre fill buffer
[00000296] access_http access: Raw-audio server found, mp3

when i comment it, streaming works again, but still without downsampling.

when i've no mime type for flac i can stream them but in flac and without
downsampling. if i add flac to mp3 mimetypes i get:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ mplayer -playlist recurse.m3u
MPlayer 1.0pre7try2-3.4.5 (C) 2000-2005 MPlayer Team
