I've resolved the issues; it now works on Arch Linux and Ubuntu. I will push the new version to PyPI testing upon release.

For me, `make distcheck` succeeds with your changes.

I noticed that your logs use the version number gpgmepy-2.0.0-beta19. The
correct version number should be gpgmepy-2.0.0-beta21. Try running
`./autogen.sh --force`.

If that doesn't help then provide the full logs of `make distcheck`, e.g. via
https://dev.gnupg.org/paste/.
