Sort of... maybe. For PGP/MIME it is necessary to know the hash used when
constructing the message, before it is passed off for signing.
Enigmail fixed this some time ago by first signing and examining a small test
message to obtain the hash which will be used.
I guess the Evo folks "fixed" it by always using SHA-1.
