So I've been "advertising" keys.gnupg.net as the place to get my key for a while now, but the round-robin DNS is kind of bugging me. I understand the purpose of it, but it's kind of a crap shoot: not infrequently, the address maps to a server that's down or buggy. I'd rather have one dedicated address for an sks I can use and refer others to, preferably one that's available on port 80. Any suggestions?
Why not just throw the key onto a web server and point people at it that way? Part of the usefulness of a keyserver is to find keys that you don't know how to get otherwise. In your case, you are telling people where to get it so that doesn't apply.
