I stand corrected. It seems gnome-screensaver has a different behavior if the process has been restarted. Apparently the gnome-screensaver doesn't work the same as the login screen (ie I assume it doesn't implement PAM correctly?). Under Gnome/GDM it works better to select "Switch User" from the gnome screensaver authentication prompt, then select the existing user session and perform an authentication. This way PAM/Poldi work properly and you are prompted for your smartcard's PIN#. Authentication works fine and you're back in your original session. - -- __________________________________ Chris Ruff email: [email protected] gpg key: 0x0621F585 gpg fgpr: E3C4 0E2E AD99 59A2 E4D0 DC1B FD21 25BC 0621 F585 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.12 (GNU/Linux) Comment: OpenPGP Smartcard v2.0 Comment: Using GnuPG with SUSE - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJLukwuAAoJEP0hJbwGIfWFwL4H/3NLGNurYSSxjt8XshYCOPHz G+Nr3I1l4J1fpW8yLFwKHC5AoXnXufhr4CT/DyxTBrE4RT8wZP1LAHyoBZvnf9Ro 18jVZakyyLMafxNdVtw81dpL/VPu7WZ3rH0k9s3qIH9alOr/LcAjBHOiXVnvZUVC Udb/zQ+fLse5DKNBzQwW3i3kIsIEQryRavm1lToIMgjZE7YtgIoVQdJz4rXqDTIS m4xlcOGPfCp1Ko+M8TTA3Z7jej5apeR0Sp+8e2+xehBTLvGPxHgopmarAtiQpz2U EOXVDe42Gx8fK3uGZVSVTLx0wF5Baiy3dUTbrG9dPlXpWJubLXRz0So1C48ilPI= =758N -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Gnupg-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.gnupg.org/mailman/listinfo/gnupg-users
