The two curerent discussions – one about the FAQ, the other one with "we discussed that back then" statements – make me guess whether it makes sense to link such threads in the FAQ.
BTW: Where is the FAQ? I hope this question does not seem too stupid... The one one gnupg.org calls itself outdated. Some search engine pointed me at the mailing list archive where http://keyservers.org/~rjh/gnupgfaq.xhtml is mentioned (2012) but that does not load here.
