After using Debian for some time, an associate of mine introduced me to ZFS and Containers. Unfortunately, Linux lacks a true implementation and FreeBSD seems to hate all the hardware I use, so I seem to be stuck in the Solaris family. After a stint with Solaris 10, I decided it wasn't for me and then stumbled on Nexenta. The combination of the Solaris kernel and the GNU userland is not only useful to me in particular, but it's an idea that I think is incredibly valuable to the Open Source community as a whole.
I'd like to get involved in any way possible. It seems like Nexenta doesn't have a whole lot of mailing list / forum activity or code activity. I'm not even sure HOW I could be useful, but I'd love to see the Nexenta project flourish. Thanks for reading and I hope there's some way I can be useful! -Roger Bumgarner _______________________________________________ gnusol-devel mailing list [email protected] http://lists.sonic.net/mailman/listinfo/gnusol-devel
