Here's a quick set of step-by-step instructions for making a handbuilt
DomU start when the Dom0/host is booted -- without virsh:

1. Edit the DomU's configuration file to include the following line:
on_xend_start = "start"
2. Shut down the DomU (if necessary)
3. Register the DomU with xend:
# xm new $PWD/domu.cfg
4. Verify that xend knows about the DomU:
# xm list
5. Start the DomU up again:
# xm start domu

Thanks to Mark Johnson at Sun for explaining the configuration
mechanism, and for showing me the on_xend_start parameter.

Thanks,
-Luke
