Hello, I just installed nexenta ncp 2.0 alpha on a 4GB CF card. The installation was fine, but when I rebooted I got a "GRUB stage2 read error" message. In an attempt to solve this I booted into the recovery option on the CD. I then did the following:
zpool import -f syspool mkdir /temp mount -F zfs syspool/rootfs-nmu-000 /temp installgrub /temp/boot/grub/stage1 /temp/boot/grub/stage2 /dev/rdsk/c0d0s0 bootadm update-archive -R /temp/ reboot This time when I rebooted I got one dot after the "GRUB stage2" message then the system rebooted by itself and then I got the same "GRUB stage2 read error" message. I set up a virtualbox instance with the CF as the hard disk and it booted just fine. I was able to reach the grub menu. I am not sure what is wrong.
