I used code from http://sourceforge.net/projects/mingw-w64/ to build a
cross compiler (build system Win32)

I wanted to cross compile the GNUstep base but it looked like required
libraries (libxml and libffcall) were not ported to Win64
(x86_64-pc-mingw32).

At least I could not cross compile them to x86_64-pc-mingw32.

Maybe I do something wrong? Need those libraries to be ported?

Hi,

Does anybody know whether there is anything planned/done for running
GNUstep on Windows 64 bits?

It seems there is something ongoing by I can not figure in what state it
is.

Could anyone clarify the situation?

GNUstep doesn't work with the standard MinGW installation. However, it
should work, if you can compile MinGW as 64-bit libraries. I haven't
checked recently, but you need to make various patches to the compiler
and other things to get this to work.
