Hi Riccardo

I used what I wrote in the first mail. Windowmaker+xcompmgr. The problem is
what David says, the application window is moved to be a sub window of
Windowmaker's window so the transparency properties are set on only the sub
window.

I haven't run any test, only confirmed with my eyes that the window is not
transparent.

However, this is no problem since I won't use Windowmaker or any other
window manager for the final product.
