What version of GnuTLS are you working with? what does the
documentation that matches your version of GnuTLS recommend for the
priority string? Have you tried it with "NORMAL" ?

This isn't how you spell PERFORMANCE -- i'm assuming it's a typo in your
e-mail, but i'm mentioning it here just in case the same typo slipped
