Hi,

is is possible to use the Gnuwin32 autoconf and automake with MinGW (i.e. to
run a autogen.sh file) and ActivePerl?

The problem seem to be the system calls - ActivePerl uses the win32 shell to
execute them, and so things like > /dev/null won't work there. I tried to
remove them, but dont know if replacing '/dev/null' with 'nul' is supposed to
work.

However, there are other things, like the xsystem() in autoheader, that are
a bit more complicated.

The solution may be to make ActviePerl use the sh from MinGW - has anyone
done this already or found another solution?
