Hello GnuWin32-List

As you may know, I recently opened a project at
getgnuwin32.sourceforge.net. The aim is to automatically download
and maintain a gnuwin32 package archive. This project itself uses
some of the gnuwin32 utility in order to work. One of them is
mkshortcut version 1.7 that comes with the cygutils package.

Now a user of getgnuwin32 reported me an unexpected behaviour of
mkshortcut that I am not able to reproduce on my machine. The report
is as follows:

Windows XP home. DOS-Shell 5.1.2600.
`which mkshortcut´ says: path-to-gnuwin32/bin/mkshortcut.exe
`mkshortcut -v´ says: mkshortcut (cygutils) version 1.7
`mkshortcut -n xxx znew´ creates xxx.lnk
`ls -al xxx*´ says:
 lrw-rw-rw-  1 root 0    513 2006-04-17 23:40 xxx.lnk ->
     C:/Programme/GnuWin32/bin/ôw:ôwPçWwE§åw

Windows Explorer also shows broken shortcuts. Is this behaviour
known. Should I changes something within my getgnuwin32-project? (I
could replace mkshortcut.exe by a simple visual basic script.

Thanks for any help!
With kind regards
Mathias
