Two things really struck me about last night's game: 1. Thomas really stood on his head. That's 2 strong games in a row for Thomas. I hope that "good Tim" is back, and will hang around for the rest of the season.
2. I really don't think the Bruins played very well last night. Philly really took it to them for large segments of the game. The Bruins won even though Philly outplayed them (IMO). The difference in the game was the Bruins taking advantage of a few good opportunities. The first goal was a nice breakout that caught Philly in a line change. Each Bruin forward did exactly the right thing and Ryder made a fantastic cross ice feed to Lucic in the slot. Goalie had no chance. The second goal was a 5-on-3 goal, but the orginal power play was drawn by Lucic (interference as he followed his own dump in). The third goal was another Philly breakdown leading to another fast Bruin attack and Lucic's second goal. The way the Bruins generally played the first period, I would not have been surprised to see tham down 3-1 instead of up 3-1. I think the team is getting it's mojo back.
