This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes -- Johnny McKenzie was speaking at
a school, and one of the kids asked him what he did when he saw a big tough guy
bearing down on him and knowing he wanted to fight...

"I reach down into the back of my pants, pick up what I find there and THROW it
at him!"

Apocryphal or not, I love that line...

it being one of the very few times I can ever remember pest extraordinaire
Johnny MacKenzie actually being in a fight.? He started an awful lot fights in
his career, but participated in very few, and it wasn't because he wasn't
tough, he was, in the off season he was a Champion bare bronc rider, but he was
an agitator without equal.?

This was before my time, but I remember seeing an interview with Orr decades
later in which he pretty much gives Quinn a pass here.? I think he said Quinn
"charged" a little bit, but that he (Orr) should have been paying better
attention...
