Culture or macho or whatever, I am very glad that he did not act like a
sniveling coward and fake an injury.
Therein lies the problem with the macho culture of hockey. Any number of
players would have ignored it, since the Phil Esposito trade was mentioned
earlier today I am reminded of Jean Ratelle, who never fought, and I certainly
don't consider him a sniveling coward.
I also disagree that ignoring it would mean more of it, but we'll see if they
play the Rangers. If they do, I suspect it will happen again because of the
reaction it illicited from Thomas.
