Bitz did play against the Habs and he did pretty well. The last two games he has played he has used his body more effectively, played more physically, and I think this is a good thing.
Because Ference and Wideman were out, there was plenty for Hunwick to do on defense, so that made room for Bitz. I want to see both Hunwick and Bitz playing. I admire Kobesew's grit but I'd rather see him rested and healthy for round 1. I hope they play Sobotka. To me it was dopey to be using Montador at forward and leaving Bitz out. But there is lots we don't see and having young players antsy in the press box seems to be a strategy that Julien employs just enough - he lets them sit a couple but then brings them back and gives them a chance to show how much they want it. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lori Labadie" <[email protected]> To: [email protected], [email protected] Sent: Friday, April 10, 2009 9:37:31 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern Subject: [GoBruins] Re: (Bergeron injured) Sobotka question.. Thanks. I found that info out tonight as well. Byron Bitz is a forward. Why isn't he replacing any of the injured????????? Did Boston forget that he's not a defenseman? Lehtonen was called up to replace Bergeron, who will sit out the rest of the season. Bitz is OK, but Julien likes Hunwick, who can also play defence as well as forward. Julien said that he is considering resting some players and/or taking players out for injuries to heal. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Go Bruins Mailing List" group.
