I'm fairly new to GoCD, but I have used other CI/CD systems. I can't seem to find an "elegant" way to provide user input to manually-triggered stages; it seems that input to environment variables is about my only choice. This is very limited, of course, and also doesn't work well for stages that are imbedded within a pipeline (the first stage might be OK, but for the second, third,...?) Probably there are good ways to do this that those more experienced with GoCD can suggest. I'm hoping that is the case!
In case you want more background information, I'd like to be able to (for example) have a user optionally provide input as to the reasons associated with running the manual stage, such as "I'm running this promotion stage because we've completed all of our manual testing with acceptable results, even though there is a known issue with test #5 on Windows 10". Something like that... -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "go-cd" group.
