Before Christmas we put up our crib and a tree. We did it together as a family. 
Cleaning the house, changing the curtains, hanging the decorations. All these 
Yuletide traditions survive. Writing and mailing Christmas cards and making and 
exchanging Christmas sweets were important traditions we followed religiously. 
In our home, we made Goan favourites - kulkuls, neories, cheese straws, 
marzipans, and jujubes.
