Hi Eugene, Please check 'Goa e as Praças Do Norte' by Raquel Soeiro de Brito. It is a brilliant publication, complete with very concise information about socio-economic aspects of Goa, including many pullout maps of the entire state relating to various socio-economic statistics. It was written in the 1966, but most of the data relates to pre-1961 period. You would need to check out this book if you are going to research this topic.
