It isinteresting to note that in the genesis of FRELIMO, at least four Goan
leaderswere involved: Sérgio Vieira, Óscar Monteiro, Valeriano Inocêncio de
AraújoFerrão, and Aquino de Bragança and Jorge Rebelo of Goan descent.
TheFront for the Liberation of Mozambique (FRELIMO) initiated a guerrilla
campaignagainst Portuguese rule in September 1964.

For a change, it's on "Africar", but a man who stood for what he was and cared
less for being hated by most of the Goans for joining hands with Mau Mau, the
militant organization which fought for Kenya's independence from the British. Is
there a story that related to what has been trending on this forum, the
Portuguese impress on India, and Goa in its embrace?i did write a review on
Shiraj Durrani's book on Pio Gama-Pinto: The Unsung Marty (forgets the full
title).
