She headed the UK HLF-grant funded project documenting the histories of Goans who lived in East Africa. Her works include three non-fiction books, and her upcoming book is titled, *Half-Caste and Empire: Goans in Zanzibar, 1860-1910* published by Speaking Tiger. ------------------------------ R. Benedito Ferrão R. Benedito Ferrão is an Associate Professor of English and Asian & Pacific Islander American Studies at William & Mary. He is a curator, having collaborated with artists Karishma D’Souza, Angela Ferrão and Vamona Navelcar. His organised shows include the exhibition titled, *Goa, Portugal, Mozambique: The Many Lives of Vamona Navelcar (2017-2018)*, also the title of his edited book. Forthcoming in 2026, is his curation of Maria Vanessa de Sa’s first solo exhibition, *The Girl Who was the Color of Nothing*, which is also the title of a children’s book he has co-created with the artist.
