According to one version, Timmaji Camotim actually served in the Bijapur
military in Goa before defecting to Vijayanagara kingdom. Perhaps he is the
source of inspiration for the present folks in Adilshah's palace.

According to one account Timmaji built his house in Ribandar, perhaps the
Camotim house with an arched garage [ earlier an entry point for
boats/path-mari ?] at the one-way road junction by the river.

The Bhats and Hegdes of Sirsi state that Banvasi, near Sirsi , was the
Kadamba capital. Sondekars [Rajas of Saunda] are from nearby Yellapur and
our previous V.C. Dr. Sonde , is one of their descendents!

The word Gothra is derived from two words Go=cow and thral= shed. Families
from each clan tied their cattle in a common cowshed and hence were know by
the name of the leader of the clan. Herd mentality, actually.

He does!

The present IDC Verna industrial estate is located partly [upto Airport
road level] in Cortalim and partly in Verna-Pirni. Ancestral Mardol [ and
the hotel by that name] are located on the Verna side. A little beyond this
spot is Consua. Verna is in Salcet while Consua and Cortalim are not. I do
not know exactly where Mhal Pai's house was

More likely than not, he must have tasted the foreign spirit.

Four persons clashed in the Assembly precints; three were MLAs one was not.
Let us see how Sardinha deals with the issue. Poor Serafin is no longer with
the cherubins. He is in trishanku, suspended between heaven and Earth. I
still remember him coming to arrest the soft spoken and sauve Architect
S.A.Jawaid at Goa University instead of arresting a thug called Javed. He
seems to get his arrests all mixed up. Occupational hazard?
