Regarding CC-BY-NC and RUP's assertion that "it still achieves the funding

license on a web resource: may Google index and list it? Only on pages *not*

pages, since money loosing services may still enhance the brand …

Try a Google search - for any terms. The results will not be limited to CC-BY
licensed works. Google does not require blanket commercial rights to index and
link. Google indexes a wide variety of works, in many countries, with many
different terms and conditions - even All Rights Reserved.

My CC-BY-NC-SA licensed blog is hosted and indexed by Google. Ads do not appear
on my blog, but this is because Google offers me the option of turning on or
leaving off Adsense.
