Dear all,

This is to invite you to foster the societal perspective (i) of the EU policy of the Digital Single Market (DSM) and (ii) of the ICT-related research and innovation activities to be funded with the WP16-17.

Regarding H2020 - the EU funding of R&I activities-, the WP16-17 has been published recently and we strive to have an ambitious approach regarding the integration of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) and Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) in the ICT-related parts of WP16-17, presented in the background note. An Info-Day is organized in Brussels on December 7 from 9.00 until 17.30. It will be web-streamed.
A networking session with pitches is foreseen at the end of the day.
The programme will be published soon on a page accessible from here.
For those who want to be present physically, please register here.

Regarding the DSM, a few public consultations which are most relevant to the societal perspective have just been launched.
Let me draw your attention on:

Evaluation and Review of the regulatory framework for electronic communications and services (DDL : Dec. 7, 2015)
The needs for Internet speed and quality beyond 2020 (DDL: Dec. 7, 2015)
ICT standards (DDL : Jan. 4, 2016)
Online Platforms, cloud and data, liability of intermediaries, collaborative economy (DDL: Dec.30 2015)
Tackling unjustified geo-blocking (DDL : Dec. 28, 2015)

Thank you very much for engaging with us and fostering the societal approach to the digital transition.

Kind regards,
