It was a fantastic show.
Jammed packed show All sold out show. It’s a memorable show Konkani really rocked I can’t explain you any better either I have no words or I am not good at it.
It started with Tiatr ‘Thikann’ by Com.64 just before 6.30pm
Lorna’s show started around 8.45 and ended just before 11pm In between there were other singers like Sidarnath Buyao who sang his father’s Ulhas Buyao’s immortal ‘Chandneachi Raati’,
Sonia Shirsat with a beautiful Mando, ‘Doryache Lahrari’ Webly Gomes sang ‘Mogachea Pinzreant’, Mr. Buyao and Roshan sang a duet- Vochonaka.. addainaka P Chari sang ‘suklelia Zaddaru’, Jasmin Rosario sang ‘Zati and Cucurucu’, Tomazin Cardoz with his wife
Irene on various versions of mando ‘Tamdde Rosa’,
tiny tots singing dulpods etc
Besides, 80 year young musician Domingos Branganza who won hearts of the audience by playing
Trumpet and Trombone and Saxophone by public demand. Thanks to Armando Gonsalves whose other names are
Heritage, Jazz, Konkani etc Armando also seen dancing near the stage. The audience seen equally enthusiastic where every one could read each others body language be is from their movement of heads, lips, hands or feet.
Everyone was asking more..
Some asked ‘Bebdo’ others asked ‘Lisboa’ Lorna sang about 10 songs but sadly many felt they didn’t get enough. Nor they got ‘Lisboa’
Lorna started with 'Aikat Mozo Tavo’ followed by Sorg Tujea Dolleani, Rozalin Muz Nanvu, Sorga Rajeant, Sopon, Kongotte, Cantaram Kortam, Mhozo-Mog Tuzo Mog, Piso and Bebdo
One in five seen capturing the nostalgic moments on
their camera be it a video camera, still camera or
mobile phone. At least 6 seen professionals with stand
or tripods.
Musicians were enthusiastic too, the team includes
Norman Cardozo (Keyboard), Anthony de Velim (Trumpet),
Roy (Sax), Sammy (Trombone), Jack (Drums), Richie and
Sergie.
Lorna called Remo up on stage and they both sang unprepared.
While singing Bebdo.. ‘Margir to kitem muntta zanna’ Remo asked ‘Kitem munttai go?’ ..and the crowd burst into laughter. We are very happy to see Remo and Lorna together.
Remo said it is his first time with Lorna
