World Goa Day 2010 - A goodwill Message.
World Goa Day 2010 is being celebrated worldwide on 20th August, 2010, to mark
the historic inclusion of Konkani language in the VIIIth Schedule of the Indian
Constitution, hereby making Konkani the official language of the State of Goa.
It is a great day of rejoicing and jubilation.
And we deem it our good fortune to be a part of this great event.
We recall with gratitude the contributions of a leader of great calibre, Mr.
Rene Baretto, who strove continuously to bring about unity among global Goans.
And today, we can see that, World Goa Day, which is celebrating it's 10th
Anniversary is getting more and more popular with each passing year. With all
these good things happening, let us all join in the celebrations and express
our solidarity with Goa and Goans worldwide and strive to foster unity among
all Goans.
Even as we stand, the Curtorim Village Group, pledges its whole hearted
support to the worldwide celebrations of World Goa Day 2010, and wishes
the organizers of the various events associated with World Goa Day all success.
